Dr Rebecca Dobson offers specialist cardio-oncology consultations and investigations for patients before, during and after cancer treatment. Fees for self-pay patients are outlined below. If you are insured, please check with your insurer regarding cover and any excess payable.
New patient consultation
A comprehensive assessment for patients referred for the first time, including review of cardiac history, cancer diagnosis and treatment plan.
Typical duration: Typically 45-60 minutes
Follow up consultation
Ongoing review of symptoms, test results and treatment response for existing patients.
Typical duration: Typically 30 minutes
Video consultation
Remote consultation for suitable patients, allowing discussion of results, concerns and ongoing management without the need to travel.
Typical duration: Typically 30 minutes
Echocardiography
Ultrasound scan of the heart to assess structure and function, including monitoring for cardiotoxicity related to cancer treatments.
Typical duration: Typically 30-45 minutes
Ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring
Continuous heart rhythm and blood pressure monitoring over 24 hours or longer to investigate palpitations, arrhythmias or other rhythm concerns.
Typical duration: Duration varies (e.g. 24-72 hours)
